Moisture Management Tester Operating Process



Moisture Management Tester Operation is not difficult and the following is about how to use moisture management tester.
1. Prepare samples
(1) Cut full width fabric bigger than 0.5m from every sample and avoid matching section as far as 2 meters; Use at least 1 unit of fabric products.
(2) Cut each sample into 2 pieces, one for test before washing while the other for test after washing which should be washed 5 times according to regulation, or washing it based on other requirements. The washed sample should be dried under the temperature of lower than 60.
(3) Choose 5 samples which are washed and aren’t washed respectively with the size of 90*90mm. When cut samples, we should ensure the cutting distance of 150mm away from cloth edge and be arranged uniformly. Samples should be at different positions horizontally and vertically, besides, they should avoid flaw and wrinkles. If samples are made of different textiles, the choice then depends on function.
(4) Any uneven place in textile surface will affect test result. We need iron samples when necessary. 

2. Samples pre-processing 
Place the samples in the environment of 22, 60% standard atmosphere; Adjust moisture to be balance in loose circumstances; the common moisture adjustment is 16h and synthetic fiber sample is at least 2h; samples with zero official regain don’t need moisture adjustment. 

3. Test procedure 
(1) Clamp samples corner with a clean nipper and place them between two sensors evenly. The side close to skin is soaked and positioned against solution dropping direction.
(2) Start moisture management tester, drop sodium chloride solution 0.2g whose concentration is 9g/L during regular time to the soaking side, at the same time, the instrument can automatically record time and textile moisture changes on both sides, with test time 120s and data collection frequency higher than 10Hz.
(3) After test, take samples out and moisture management test can calculate and display corresponding test results. 
(4) Suck solution residue on sensors by clean absorbent paper and station them for at least 1 minute. Be sure the sensors are clear for the following test. 
(5) Repeat the above operation until 5 samples test finished. Then we can calculate textile moisture management features.
