Air permeability is to measure the resistance of textiles to air passage. Under the pre-set test area, air pressure and time, air permeability is illustrated by the rate of air vertically going through specimens. Air permeability is the key factor to determine textile final use fields such as industrial filter materials, camps, sails, parachutes, raincoats, fine clothes, anti-cashmere materials, airbags, etc.

Adopting pressure difference method, air permeability tester has wide application in air permeability performance in fabrics, garments, non-woven cloth, leather and plastic, etc. specimens are pressed on selected test heads, then air permeability tester generates constant airflow through samples and creates different pressures on both sides, so computer system automatically calculates specimens’ accurate air permeability rate.
