Universal Wear Tester Instruction
Universal weartester determines the wear and abrasion of plain wearing, curve wearing, edge
wearing, fold wearing, frosting, welting and napping, and applies to woven
fabric, knitted fabric, coated fabric, napping fabric, socks, felt, non-woven
fabric, deep fabric, yarn, plastic film, rubber, leather, paper and other
various materials industries. The specimen can either be dry or be soaked in
water, oil or other liquid.
Universal Wear Tester Working Principle
Universal wear
tester mainly consists of control system and friction system. Install the
specimen to the holder and screw it tightly. Lower down the upper holder with emery
polishing paper and adjust weight position so that the emery polishing paper is
available to specimen surface. Pre-sets specimen friction times and starts the
device. The lower specimen holder moves back and forth to make sure the
friction between emery polishing paper and specimens; when the pre-set moving
number runs out, take out the specimen and watch the wearing part. Universal
wear tester is popular among various fabrics abrasion tests including clothing,
footwear and textiles.
