Water Vapor Permeability Tester
Water vapor permeability tester is mainly on resistance of textiles and leather for vamp or clothing to sweat when wearing. It is to measure the water vapor transferring amount of a certain kind of fabric during the regular time period and provides evidence for footwear or clothing R&D.

The device features a rotating platform on which are 6 separate test stations and specimen holders for each station. Holder necks part with silica-gel dryer are for placing specimens which are fixed by screw cap. Weigh the holders with silica-gel dryer and specimens respectively and lock them to the rotating chamber. After 7-8 hours weigh them again and calculate vapor penetration amount. The whole test should be carried out in the specific atmospheric conditions ( the temperature is set 20°C and humidity 65%). Besides the standard equipment, a built-in timer is needed for test timing.

Test Methods
According to ISO6942-2002(EN366), we have two test methods for protection performance against radiant heat.
Method A: a specimen is exposed to a certain amount of radiant heat, to reproduce the bad conditions and record specimen appearance changes;
Method B: Place calorimeter to the specimen back side then heat transmission from that side; record temperature changing data over time first and can we then calculate radiant heat transmission.
